My student didn’t receive their email/enrolment key. What do I do?

2 min read

Note that this question is only relevant for the version of Blurred Minds Academy that uses email addresses for students.

There are a number of potential reasons that students don’t receive their emails. Here is how to check and resolve any issues.

Potential Reason 1: The student’s email address was added incorrectly #

The student may have entered their email address incorrectly when registering their account, or the email address you added into the system was incorrect.

You can check if the email address was added incorrectly into the system by checking the Student Manager page.

  1. Log into Blurred Minds Academy.
  2. Go to the Student manager page.
  3. Find the student’s email in the “List of Students” table.
  4. Check that their email address was entered correctly.

If it is incorrect, then you can correct it and send the email again by removing them by clicking on their checkbox and then clicking on the “Remove user(s)” button at the top of the table. After removing them, re-invite them with the correct email address.

Potential Reason 2: The Academy’s sending email address was blocked or considered “spam” #

Please have the students check their inboxes, junk folders and any school email quarantine for the new emails. Student’s receive their welcome emails with log in details the moment you add them into the Academy.

If they still can’t find them, your school’s email security system (e.g. “Mimecast”) may have blocked our sending address. Please ask your IT department to check any email security logs and/or allow emails from “[email protected]“. Afterwards, you can try sending the welcome email again by re-adding them. Here is how:

  1. Log into Blurred Minds Academy.
  2. Go to the Student manager page.
  3. Find the student’s email in the “List of Students” table.
  4. Clicking on their checkbox and then clicking on the “Remove user(s)” button at the top of the table.
  5. After removing them, re-invite them by adding them again.
  6. If even after this they don’t see it, you can try manually sending them the enrolment key assigned to them as indicated in the “List of Students” table.
